Three down, nine more to go.

This week I had two accounting midterms, and with the architecture test I took last week that means three of my last twelve tests as an undergraduate at UW are finished! Whoa, this is weird. Sean brought to my attention the other day that we have spent the last 17 years of our life in school - I'm not sure if I'll know what to do without mundane textbook readings, tedious homework assignments and such. I suppose the CPA studying will keep me busy for a while. :) Anyways, I just wanted to mention I can't believe it's truly nearing the end of our time at UW. I feel like we just arrived to the stinky dorms and now we are leaving the beautiful campus I have come to love. Our quad is full of cherry blossoms, so for about two weeks every spring it is jam packed with people basking in the beauty of the blooms. I managed to get a few photos before most people got to school though (me being an early bird) so the following pictures are deceiving. Aside from school I have a few layouts to share as well!

Easter: I mentioned previously that Sean & I went to ma's house to celebrate Easter with her, Amy, Marcus & Andrew. We all had a really great time, especially since it all started out with a yummy meal. Ma fixed us ham with lots of goodies to go along and I tried my hand at pie making. I used a Bobby Flay recipe for peach-berry pie and a chocolate tart recipe I got from "For the Love of Cooking" blog that I frequent. After supper we we all sat down to do a little egg dying, even ma joined in on the fun after some imploring. We admired our beauty's for a bit and then let the guys (Marcus & Sean) hide all of the plastic eggs for a friendly hunt between the rest of us. As soon as they opened the door it was like letting the cattle loose. We all dashed to find our self a basket to throw our eggs into and then the hunt was on! We all had our own strategies, personally I was trying to stay away from everyone else hoping I'd have more luck without someone peering over my shoulder. The boys were clever, inside a leftover ham bag, underneath stool cushions you name it they hid it there! It was a lot of fun and I think we all needed a glass of water by the end. We finished off the evening chatting and laughing - all in all it was the most enjoyable Easter I can remember in a while. I love my family!

Ready?: Penelope has the cutest little head cock when you ask her 'are you ready?'. We can ask if she is ready to get up, ready to go on a walk, ready for some supper, ready to go to sleep, ready to play...pretty much ready to do anything. As long as we put those few words in front she is rearing to go. These particular pictures are of her patiently waiting for me to get out of bed last Saturday morning. She doesn't understand the concept of weekends, so about 5:30 I feel her little tongue start trying to wake me up. I can hush her for about half an hour until I finally give in. Then I say 'are you ready to get up?' and she leaps out of the covers, jumps over my body and looks at me enticingly. Surprisingly, she sat still long enough for me to grab the camera, but the sweetest thing is that she won't get out of bed until I throw the covers off me, because then she knows I'm serious! :) Pencillines sketch #130.
