Whoa, slow down.

Well I've been completely unproductive in the way of name changes and car title changes...however I have been entirely productive in catching up on lost scrapbooking time. I think another week of unproductive important things will get me up to date in the 09' album. Whoop whoop. So lets start sharing...
You are my life & love: These are some photographs Victor took of us during our engagement sessions last June. I wasn't sure I was going to scrap them because they were so perfect but I couldn't resist. If you can't tell I am a Twilight fan (okay fan might be an understatement, I am more of an addict lately), hence the title. Sean and I are so lucky to have each other, he makes me laugh even when I am furious - sometimes it is irritating but that should be a high quality trait right? Basically I'm the chocolate marshmallowy goodness of smores and he is the graham crackers that hold me together. hehe Or vice versa..but I think he would prefer the first analogy.(Cheeks blown out into a pig face) The first page is a scraplift from Laurink at scrapbook.com, after spending far too long remembering how to use my sewing machine it was fun to put it to work.

Boulder River Falls: Ma, Amy, Marcus, Sean, Penelope & I all went hiking on the fourth of July. Second year running for a hike on the fourth, hopefully we can keep it up. We chose Boulder River Falls because it was supposed to be a 'kid friendly hike' and a. this was going to be Marcus' first hike b. Ma was joining us and I kind of chose a hell hike last year. We ended up passing two sets of waterfalls along the hike and ended at a camp ground about 4.5 miles in to eat our lunch along the river. It was a lovely way to spend our beautiful fourth, and we even had time afterwards for a BBQ at ma's and some fireworks from Boom City. Layout inspired by Laurink at scrapbook.com.

Farewell Maggie: Sean and I have spent the last four years in Seattle, of those, the last three we had Plop and therefore discovered Magnuson Park. It is probably our most visited spot in the city, there is a huge park along Lake Washington and a large area designated to an off leash dog park. We've spent a fourth of July there, endless mornings during the summer, countless afternoons after school and even got engaged there - it is a very special place to us. Pretty much the perfect spot for all of us to spend an afternoon together, thus it will be very missed now that we have moved up north. We can only hope to find another great spot to share so many memories together.

Fear-struck: Amy and I attempted to hike up to Goat Lake earlier this summer and were unpleasantly surprised by what we found upon reaching the trail head. Huge attacking bee-fly's! They were like something out of a nasty fairytale; black and white striped, wings like a fly, beak like a bird and the size of a quarter. Seriously. We tried to continue even with these pesters, spraying them with OFF!, running, dodging, standing perfectly still, waving our hands and bodies around wildly to no avail. Finally enough was enough and we raced back to our car, hence these blurry photos. We wanted to hike so badly we even tried another trail but were yet again chased out of the woods being forced to eat in the car while these bee-fly's swarmed the vehicle. We laughed hysterically afterwards, but it was quite freighting being shown up by insects.

Family: Amy planned a bit of a bachelorette party for me the weekend before our wedding. It was girls day with my sisters and mothers...lunch then pedicures, with lots of talking, laughing and wild driving in between. It was so great to spend some time with them, minus our significant others and who can resist a pedicure. Layout is for sketch #36 at 52weeks52sketches.com.

Bonding Over Chocolate: My nephew, Andrew, and I spent the day out together. We went school shopping, took a tour at Theo Chocolate factory (where little one had a little too much free chocolate), climbed around the Fremont Troll, ate lunch along the water and then ended the day playing frisbee and goofing off in the lawn. Yes, it was wonderful to have one on one time with him, he's growing up so fast! I wasn't exactly pleased, to say the least, with this page but had to included it because I had such a great time with him.

Rock n' Roll 1/2 Marathon: Amy and I participated in Seattle's Inaugural Rock n' Roll Marathon this year. We started training in the last week of April, taking long walks once a week together. It was a great excuse for us to spend more time together, hehe, plus we visited a lot of places and accomplished many miles. We walked to Mukilteo Ferry and enjoyed some ice cream, went site seeing around UW, walked the streets of Everett, conquered the Centennial Trail, explored Gas Works and Fremont along the Burke Gilman, made our way down to Pike Place Market for chocolate croissants, enjoyed the view from Harborview Park and lastly, made it from Lake Washington to Golden Garden's Park. It was great training that lead up to a great marathon. Amy and I did far better than expected, coming in under three hours and running part of the way which we hadn't trained to do at all. It was a fabulous way to start out summer and I don't know if I've ever seen my dad so proud of us. :)
