Today is Mother's day...finally! I've been waiting to give my mom an album I made her with photos of us together from just a wee baby till this spring when we visited my Nana & Papa. I didn't really write much yet, just lots of mother/daughter quotes - but from here on out I plan on making a page for each year together and and complimenting page to reflect on how our relationship has changed throughout the year. I'm super excited, I hope she enjoys it as much as I do! (I'll post the album when I get a few more minutes.)
On to other things...Amy & I are still walking hard. Yesterday we walked from Lake Stevens to Arlington - approximately 14 miles. By the end we were so tired of walking we started running just to use some different muscles! haha But training is going well and it's really nice to have some sister time with hours of chatting. Amy is going to walk the Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon for the Tug McGraw Foundation and is trying to raise money here; the foundation supports brain tumor patients and research, so it is a really great cause and any donations would be much appreciated. Oh yes I can't forget to mention, we were dimed 'Grannies' by two punk kids that couldn't be older than eight - go figure I turn 22 and suddenly I'm a granny, I guess you really can't fight age! haha
Wedding bells are in the near future! Sean & I have signed and sent in contracts for both Alderbrook Resort and Spa and our photographer, Victor Saidov. Alderbrook is where we'll be holding everything! Rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, etc. It is gorgeous and basically all inclusive; they handle catering, cake, servers & serving ware, linen..and lots more. Everyone will stay the night before the ceremony (fingers crossed) so I'm hoping it will be a fun, family filled few days. We found Victor to do our photography, he is absolutely amazing and totally enthusiastic! He even agreed to do the rehearsal dinner so the whole weekend will be documented, lovely. Lastly, I found a dress! Whoop whoop! We went to three places yesterday before making our way back to David's Bridal - where I ended up finding probably the cheapest dress but the one I truly wanted. Here is the dress, there are no jewels, no embroidery, no train, just a beautiful dress - plus it fit perfectly, no alterations needed! The wedding is basically always in the back of my mind these days so I'm sure I'll have lots more to post as we continue making plans. Oh my how could I forget, we also booked our honeymoon - Jamaica! We're going through Sandals so everything will be paid in advance and all we have to do is enjoy the amenities and relax. It'll be a different kind of vacation than I'm used to but I sure am looking forward to it!
Last but not least...thanks to all for the birthday wishes and gifts! I've had a wonderful few days celebrating and I really appreciate everyone. Hugs and kisses to you all! Here is a video Sean took of me opening my gift, a Cricut, I'm such a dork.
